AC Milan seem to be serious about signing Samuele Ricci from Torino, and there have been contacts in recent days ahead of January.
According to Calciomercato.com, Ricci is being followed by several top clubs and in January his name could be in the headlines a lot. He is the midfielder of the future of the Italian national team, and the one Luciano Spalletti is strongly banking on.
The club most interested in Serie A – because Ricci is also popular abroad too – is Milan. The directors would like him to sign as early as January as a deputy to Youssouf Fofana but also a versatile option who could even become a start.
For now there have been some initial exploratory contacts but nothing more. The midfielder’s contract expires in June 2026 and for Torino they do not see him as unsellable, even if they will only consider a big offer.
Torino have already identified the replacement: Matteo Prati of Cagliari. The Granata are convinced of his qualities and that he can become the ideal replacement for Ricci in the event of the sale of the former Empoli man.
The fact that Milan are in talks and Il Toro are already thinking of potential replacements suggests that the gears are moving, be it for January or in view of the summer.
