Ismael Bennacer is revving up his engine again ahead of returning to the field, and more details on the re-integration plan have emerged.
As Calciomercato.com write, the recent words of Zlatan Ibrahimovic – who spoke about Bennacer like a new signing – have given him that extra grit and motivation in a delicate phase of his rehabilitation.
In agreement with the Algerian Football Federation and Milan, Bennacer flew to Qatar in Doha around 20 October to complete the rehabilitation process at the Aspetar clinic (already attended about two years after the knee injury) after the serious calf injury and the surgery to repair the torn muscle.
The first phase ended positively with the former Empoli man having updated his followers with videos that demonstrated the hard work that he is doing and the positive steps he was taking towards a full recovery.
Bennacer will be at Milanello today to begin the phase of building up his fitness, and this step comes a few days earlier than the initial program planned for. The midfielder is very eager to get to work so that he can return to full training and lend a hand to the team.

Despite this excitement, it cannot overcome the necessary caution because Bennacer has had a few seasons now in which he has missed long spells due to injury (in the last one he played just 20 games).
If everything goes according to plan, Bennacer should be available to Fonseca again by mid-January which means that there is around six weeks of work still to do before he takes to the field properly.
