Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Club Brugge have made an offer of around €5m for Ajax winger Carlos Forbs. However, the Amsterdam club have rejected the offer, as they value Forbs at more than €5m. Talks are now ongoing as the winger is said to be keen on making the move across the border to Belgium. Having lost Chemsdine Talbi to Sunderland earlier this week, Club are clearly looking for another winger to replace the Moroccan.

21-year-old Forbs is a Portuguese youth international who is also eligible to play for Guinea-Bissau. Having come through the Manchester City youth system, the winger joined Ajax and played 32 games during the 2023/2024 campaign, scoring three goals and grabbing four assists. Last season the winger spent the year on loan at Wolves in the Premier League, but only made 11 appearances during the campaign. He did not score or provide any assists. With Talbi’s departure, there is a chance for Forbs to get more games and become a regular for the side, something that may not be possible at Ajax next year.
