Nayef Aguerd is edging closer to the West Ham exit as Juventus look set to bid for the player.
It’s been widely expected that that Moroccan international would depart sharpish this summer, following a successful loan at Real Sociedad last season.
However, the players attitude towards West Ham and the recent news that he doesn’t even want to be a part of pre-season plans sees the club ready to cash in fast on the 29 year old defender.
It will be a welcome boost for Graham Potter and Kyle Macaulay, who want to see the club get moving on the recruitment for this important summer transfer window, with Juve expected to bid in the region of £17m – although West Ham are holding out for closer to £20m.
A player exchange has again been ruled out as Potter has his sights firmly on players he and Macaulay have identified as key to the new era in east London.
The bid from Juventus and possibly one from Roma also are expected in the coming days. Real Sociedad are also expected to make their move soon.
