Clinton and Thomas collect end of season awards | OneFootball

Grace Clinton completed a clean sweep of Player of the Season awards for our 2023/24 campaign, while Martha Thomas won the Goal of the Season for her historic strike against Arsenal as the pair were presented with those in our final home game of the season against West Ham United on Saturday.

Grace scooped up the Supporters' and Junior Supporters' Player of the Season, before making it a trio of awards after winning the Proud Lilywhites Player of the Season, as voted by their members.

The England international joined us on loan at the beginning of the campaign from Manchester United and became a key component to Robert Vilahamn’s side, with her trickery and the ability to glide past defenders providing a constant threat for opponents this season.

The 21-year-old has registered eight goal involvements in 19 Barclays Women’s Super League appearances (four goals and four assists), including an impressive brace in our 4-3 victory over West Ham United back in January.

Her fine run of performances also saw her named in the England senior squad for the first time in October, becoming the first player ever to earn a first call-up into Lionesses’ ranks while playing for us, before later making her debut in a 7-2 victory over Austria in February, where she also scored her first-ever senior international goal within 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, Martha picked up the fan-voted Goal of the Season award for her history-making winner against Arsenal in the north London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in December, securing our first-ever victory over the Gunners.

A free-flowing move that started from Barbora Votikova at the back, Martha spread the ball out wide to Celin Bizet, who advanced down the right before picking out the Scotland international and she poked the ball into the bottom corner.
