City secured passage into the FA Cup quarter-finals last time out with a 3-1 win over Leicester at the Joie Stadium.
First-half goals from Leila Ouahabi and Kerolin Nicoli gave us a commanding lead at half-time before we extended our advantage thanks to Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s unstoppable header.
In the closing stages of proceedings, Nelly Las netted for the visitors which reduced the deficit.
Bunny Shaw scored a 92nd-minute winner to dramatically beat Liverpool 2-1 in our previous meeting with the Merseyside outfit.
Olivia Smith had given the hosts the lead at Anfield before the Jamaican equalised shortly after half-time.
With the match looking likely to end in a draw as the clock ticked past the 90-minute mark, the Blues’ clinical striker slammed into the roof of the net on the cusp of full-time to help City to three points.
