Ahead of November’s pause in domestic action, we were unbeaten across our past six successive matches which impressively included five wins.

Last time out, the Blues played out an enthralling 4-4 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in an encounter which will certainly go down as a Premier League classic.

And City will have to be at our best if we are to secure three points over Jurgen Klopp’s team this weekend.

The fixture sees the league’s top two lock horns for the first time in 2023/24, with the hosts sitting at the table’s summit on 28 points and the Merseyside club one place below with one point fewer.

The Treble winners last met Liverpool in April’s 4-1 victory at the Etihad when we fought back from a goal down to secure a precious victory en route to our third successive league title.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring before Julian Alvarez equalised ahead of half-time when the Argentine finished off a scintillating passing move by coolly passing into the net.

Second-half goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish secured a memorable home success.

With the action-packed winter schedule on the horizon, there are plenty of decisions FPL managers may need to make before the two title rivals face off.

CITY STAR

Phil Foden’s (£7.5m) home form could prove decisive when City host Liverpool in Gameweek 13 of Fantasy Premier League.

The England star is our top-scoring midfielder in Fantasy this season, amassing 55 points in the first 12 Gameweeks.

His output at the Etihad Stadium has been vital to that success.

Foden has blanked just once in his five home outings, scoring twice and supplying two assists.

Indeed, his total of 33 points in home matches is just four behind Erling Haaland (£14.0m).

Foden’s 12 key passes in those encounters is more than any other Man City player, while his five shots in the box place joint-second.

He also has a fine record against Liverpool in the Premier League, registering three goals and two assists.

ONE TO WATCH

Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) is the visitors’ form player, with 10 goals and four assists so far this season.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Hwang Hee-Chan (£5.5m) and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze (£6.1m) are low-owned assets with strong form and fixtures.

Hwang faces Fulham on the back of three goals and two assists in his last six fixtures.

Eze has attacking returns in both his matches since returning from injury and now visits Luton Town.
