PREVIOUS MEETING

We last faced Brighton in March where City recorded a superb 4-1 win in East Sussex.

In an evenly contested first half, Lauren Hemp broke the deadlock 15 minutes before the interval with a prodded effort– representing the England international’s ninth of the season in all competitions.

She was then joined on the scoresheet by Mary Fowler on the cusp of the break before Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s record-equalling 67th for the Club.

Laura Coombs rubber-stamped the success when she drilled into the net with just over 10 minutes remaining before Lee Geum-min pulled a goal back in stoppage time.

LAST TIME OUT

City secured passage into the UEFA Women’s Champions League last time out with a 3-0 Round Two qualifying second leg win over Paris FC.

Gareth Taylor’s side entered the fixture with a 5-0 advantage following our resounding victory in the French capital eight days before.

But there was still a job to do at the Joie Stadium and the hosts maintained our exceptional professionalism to record an 8-0 aggregate triumph which booked our place in the competition proper for the first time since 2020/21.

That was thanks to goals from Chloe Kelly and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw (two) on a crisp night at the Joie Stadium.
