Erling Haaland is the cover star against Brighton – but it’s a design with a difference.

Haaland’s portrait appears on the front of the Seagulls issue as a half-and-half drawing.

The left hand side of his face has been completed by our regular illustrator, David Flanagan who has produced some stunning designs over the past two seasons.

The right hand side, meanwhile, has been created to mark Saturday’s City in the Community-inspired matchday.

Rumayasaa, 10, of Barlow Hall Primary School, is the budding artist behind the cover design.

She is part of the City Primary Stars programme and showcased her talents to great effect in the brilliant representation of our leading scorer.

This issue also carries interviews with Nico and Josko Gvardiol.

Nico talks of the 10 ‘cup finals’ to come for the team as we aim for Champions League football next season while Gvardiol tell us how he went from selling fish to being one of the hottest football properties on the planet.

We also carry a Q&A tribute to Steve Fleet, our former goalkeeper who sadly passed away earlier this month.

We have the usual favourites like Pep Guardiola’s manager notes, Mike Summerbee’s Buzzer column and a focus on the visitors, Brighton.

We also bring you ‘Six Degrees of Separation’ charting a course between stars of both teams and a tier list feature highlighting five legends from our visitors.

Matchday Live commentator Alistair Mann brings you his ‘Mann of the Match’ column while Dr Gary James takes a look at ‘One Moment in Time’.

Kevin Cummins, meanwhile, selects another one of his favourite 100 photos – this time featuring music legend David Bowie.

There’s also a focus on what’s happening across our other teams - EDS, Under-18s and Women’s.

Make sure you get your hands on the official matchday programme, which costs £4, because it really is the perfect way to get you in the mood for the big game.

As well as being available for purchase at the ground, supporters who may not be able to attend the game can also order it online.
