Wolves winger Chiquinho has sealed a permanent move back to Portugal, joining newly promoted Primeira Liga outfit Alverca.
The 24-year-old heads to the Lisbon-based club after three and a half years at Molineux, having originally signed from Estoril for around £3 million in January 2022. Alverca are co-owned by Brazil and Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior and his Vinicius Group.
Chiquinho made just 11 appearances in total for Wolves, with the bulk of his Premier League action coming in the second half of the 2021/22 season - where he made a bright impression, registering three assists in just 203 minutes of top-flight football.
However, his progress was hampered by a serious ACL injury that ruled him out for a lengthy spell. Since then, he’s spent time out on loan at Stoke City in the Championship, followed by stints with Famalicão in Portugal and La Liga side Mallorca.
Now, with opportunities limited at Wolves, the former Portugal Under-21 international has opted for a fresh start in his home country as Alverca prepare for life in the top flight.
