Chelsea face ES Tunis in the Club World Cup in just over an hour, and the teams are in!

Enzo Maresca made it pretty clear in the build up to this game that he was going to rotate pretty heavily, and that’s just what he’s done.

No player has played all 3 group games – the first team players who come in today are those who were rested in the second game.

That means in goal we get a first appearance of the tournament for Filip Jorgensen, his first action since lifting the Conference League trophy a month ago.

Then the back line has Malo Gusto on the right, the returning Tosin Adarabioyo alongside Benoit Badiashile in the middle, and a long awaited return for Josh Acheampong on the left (although he and Gusto could also be the other way round).

In midfield Romeo Lavia returns from a rest to play with Enzo Fernandez. Moises Caicedo, thankfully, is on the bench. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall gets the nod in midfield, with Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku the dual attacking options playing off Liam Delap up top.

Draw opens up for Chelsea to make semi final run

Chelsea need to avoid defeat to get out of this group – and ironically a finishing second would serve them well, as it means they play Benfica (if, as expected, Flamengo get at least a draw against LAFC).

They would then be in the quarters against Palmeiras or Botafogo – not a gimmie considering we just lost to another Brazilian side, but about an easy a team as you could hope to face in this competition. A win there would then put us into the semi final – anything beyond that is a bonus.
