The title to this article is exactly what you as a Chelsea fan want to hear coming out the mouths of your players – that sense of pride playing for the club and representing the badge.

That is certainly a good way to get fans on your side as well as putting in good performances and leaving it all out there with 100% effort. If you’re doing that then you’re winning, regardless of the actual results. Cole Palmer did that last season and he is simply adored already as a Chelsea cult hero.

Sources: Chelsea have internal striker discussions for January – Victor Osimhen return on the cards – Pre-deal not ruled out!

Noni Madueke has started off the season doing that, after a very inconsistent season last season. And as well as putting in the performances so far this season, Madueke is also saying all the right things.

Madueke has started strong for Chelsea

Madueke has been speaking whilst out on international duty with England, and as cited on X, he said:

“I feel like, every time I get the chance to play for Chelsea, such a massive club, I feel like it’s a thing of pride.

“You want it to do as best as you can, and I always want to improve my game and stuff like that. So this season, I just wanted to start as as well as possible.

“Of course, what you guys see on the outside is definitely slightly exaggerated. Of course, in the building, it’s a great place to be around and but yeah, of course, there’s a lot of things going on, definitely with all the signings and the turnover and stuff.

“But as a football player. Your job is to perform in the pitch. So you can’t really be thinking about all of that outside stuff. You just have to zone in and try and play your best football. And when you’re called upon, I feel like that’s what I try and do.”
