One Chelsea player can boast the most amount of goal involvements of any Premier League player in all competitions.

The news comes after Chelsea beat ES Tunis 3-0 early on Wednesday morning in the Club World Cup in America after Blues head coach Enzo Maresca named a rotated starting Xl to rest a few players.

Chelsea needed to avoid a defeat to progress to the knockout rounds of the competition, and they did that with ease in the end against an opposition that they were just much better than in terms of quality.

Marc Cucurella got a deserved rest in the game, with Josh Acheampong starting at left back instead, but before the game, the Spanish international was expecting another tough game. But it was far from that for Chelsea in the end.

Chelsea’s attackers need to step up

Despite the stats you will read further below, not all Chelsea’s attackers have been providing loads of goal involvements and some need to do more.

Last season was Enzo Fernandez’s best period in a Chelsea shirt so far and not only was he playing much better and was much more consistent, he was also turning up with many more important goals and assists.

According to The BBC, since the start of April, Enzo Fernandez has the most goals and assists combined of any Premier League player in all competitions (11 – four goals, seven assists).

That’s some incredible stats for a midfielder and I didn’t realise quite how well he was doing with the goal involvements.
