Shakhtar Donetsk believe £60million rated midfielder Georgiy Sudakov will “definitely” leave Ukraine this summer with Chelsea amongst the clubs interested.

The 21-year-old is considered as the next big talent to emerge from Ukrainian football and the Blues will face competition from Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool according to The Standard.

Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin was in London this week as the club plan for the summer transfer window and the likely departure of their star man Sudakov.

He was seen at Chelsea’s game against Everton on Monday night at Stamford Bridge, and was involved in Mykahilo Mudryk’s move to Chelsea amid a very public transfer saga with Arsenal.

Palkin revealed that the talented midfielder will have a chance to move to a big club this summer.

“This summer window, he has a big chance to move to some big clubs”, he said in quotes picked up by The Standard.

“We have had some contacts with big clubs and some are not negotiating with us directly but are getting a feel for the summer environment.

“He will definitely move to a top European club this summer. When I was at Chelsea versus Everton on Monday, many people asked me about Sudakov.”

Shakhtar are  believed to be asking for £60m, which is just shy of the initial £62.5m the Blues paid for Mudryk but that fee could rise to £88.5m with add ons.

Chelsea could be in the market for a midfielder this summer if Conor Gallagher is sold, and Sudakov would fit the Blue’s recruitment model of signing the best young talent in world and European football.

It’s possible this summer Chelsea and Arsenal will once again go head to head for another talented Ukrainian player.

Sudakov has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
