Chelsea are now reportedly eyeing a new striker name as they look to bring a new one in for the summer transfer window.
The new comes after Chelsea beat Premier League winners Liverpool 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon in what was a fantastic overall performance by The Blues.
Cole Palmer was back in fine form for Chelsea and is one of the reasons that they put in such a good performance, with the stats proving this as well.
Palmer was also involved in Chelsea’s first goal of the game in the opening minutes, as well as some good work by Romeo Lavia and Pedro Neto to setup Enzo Fernandez to provide a lovely finish to get things going.
I personally do not think Chelsea have had a true and successful regular 9 since Diego Costa in 2017. Nicolas Jackson is decent but for me is never going to be a proper 9 and is more of a second or wide striker.
The Blues have been looking at names such as Liam Delap, Victor Osimhen, and Benjamin Sesko, but there is a new one now on the horizon.
According to an exclusive report from CaughtOffside this morning, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all have an interest in the potential transfer of Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick this summer.
All three Premier League clubs are closely monitoring Schick’s situation, with Leverkusen likely to be willing to listen to offers in the region of €30-40m for the Czech Republic international.
He certainly knows where the net is, scoring 30 goals in all competitions for club and country this season.
Let’s see if anything comes of this one then.
