A few days ago, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Paris Saint-Germain have recently started pursuing Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori to bolster the center-back position.

Di Marzio noted that PSG have recently started pursuing Calafiori, showing a keen interest in him. Arsenal is leading the race to sign him right now, but Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen are also in the mix.

However, transfer window expert Fabrizio Romano debunked this information and, on Sunday, provided another update on the Calafiori file. Furthermore, Sports Zone reports that Calafiori has agreed to personal terms with Arsenal.

According to Romano, Calafiori is currently waiting on Arsenal after agreeing to personal terms; it’s his preferred destination. Moreover, there are no ongoing talks with PSG, Bayer Leverkusen, or Chelsea.

Last season, Calafiori made 37 appearances while scoring two goals and registering five assists. The player is open to joining the Gunners if they can reach an agreement with Bologna.

PSG will likely need to turn their attention to other center-backs if they want to improve the position for next season.
