Chelsea and Marseille have reached an agreement over a loan move for Aaron Anselmino (19), according to Fabrizio Romano. The 19-year-old centre-back spent the first part of the 2024-2025 season on loan at Boca Juniors. He has been recalled by Enzo Maresca’s Blues last month after making 18 appearances across all competitions for Boca. Anselmino previously signed for Chelsea FC from Boca last summer, penning a seven-year deal,

Marseille were looking to bolster their defensive options as they terminated Lilian Brassier’s loan deal from Stade Brestois. The French centre-back has now joined Rennes. Romano adds that Anselmino’s loan move to Marseille still hinges on how Chelsea will decide to manage their loan spots. L’Equipe confirms that Chelsea and Marseille reached a loan agreement for Anselmino, but the latter is not certain to join Ligue 1 as the Blues intend to be active for Monday’s deadline day.
