Benjamin Helson is reporting that Charleroi are set to sign 20-year-old winger Raymond Asante from Udinese. The Ghanaian winger had signed a contract in Italy until 2027 but appears to be switching to Belgium to join up with Rik de Mil and the Zebras. Asante will be given the chance to prove that he can be part of the first team this season, otherwise he will be allowed to develop with the sides second team.

Asante joined Udinese from Apostles FC in Ghana back in the summer of 2022. He has spent his time with the club playing for the youth sides. His numbers for the Udinese U19 squad were excellent this past season. He played 32 games in total, scoring 21 goals and grabbing 12 assists.

Charleroi have been looking to add young talent to their squad and they will be hoping that Asante is one that will come off. The side have been one of the most active clubs in the transfer market early on ahead of the 2024/2025 season.
