Celtic can go thirteen points clear at the top of the Premiership table after Rangers drew at Easter Road. After their Glasgow Derby victory at Ibrox, Philippe Clement’s side travelled to Edinburgh as they looked to put pressure on the Scottish Champions.
After going 2-0 up, it looked as if Rangers had three points secured. However, Hibs pulled themselves level with 15 minutes left. Rangers scored again and it looked as if it had been enough to secure the points before Rocky netted with 7 minutes of the 90 remaining.
The result cuts Celtic’s lead at the top of the table to 10 points but this can be increased to 13 with a win over St Mirren. Brendan has made four changes from the starting XI from Ibrox with Auston Trusty, Luke McCowan, Adam Idah and Arne Engels coming into the team at the expense of Liam Scales, Reo Hatate, Kyogo and Paulo Bernardo.
After a poor display at Ibrox, Celtic can bounce back today and recapture the feel good factor with a win. St Mirren will be resolute at the back but since beating Rangers on Boxing Day, they were beaten by Dundee and Killie.
