The North Curve who have been responsible for some fantastic displays in recent years have revealed that the club has banned fan ‘Tifos’ and have instead decided to bring it upon themselves to do it through outsourcing, basically manipulating the supporters.

The fan group revealed all on their X account and understandably the Board’s decision went down like a lead balloon amongst the supporters.

The distance between those who run the club and the supporters is now as big as the gap between Celtic and theRangers and is in serious danger of becoming even wider after today.

Fan groups such as the Green Brigade and Bhoys Celtic create a terrific atmosphere and their colourful and creative tifos add so much to the Paradise match day experience. The overwhelming majority of supporters appreciate their work and commitment to the cause.

The board’s popularity with the supporters is now at an all time low. They may run our club successfully but when it comes to customer relations they have a so much to improve on. We are the paying customers and they are in serious danger of a creating a chasm too big to heal.

They say that the customer is always right, something our club are forever failing to recognise.

Their issue with the Green Brigade appears to relate to their recent Irish Republican tribute banner, yet they were happy to play Rod Stewart’s version of Grace, an Irish Republican song.

Neither has much to do with football but Celtic is more – much more – than football. It’s a cause, a family, a way of life. A perspective that we can be proud of.

Those of us of a certain age used to stand in the Jungle and were no better or no worse than the Green Brigade or Bhoys Celtic. They have my support.
