Theo Hernandez’s contract will expire in 2026 and Niccolo Ceccarini, the TuttoMercatoWeb journalist, is convinced that the left-back will leave AC Milan in the summer.
It’s been a tough season for Hernandez, with many ups and downs (mostly the latter) and heavy criticism as a result. His contract will expire in just over a year, as said, and there appears to be no contract renewal in sight.
Gazzetta dello Sport, in fact, have reported that Milan are willing to renew the contract but only at lower figures than the current salary. Not even offering the same figures would be quite the message, but one that makes any negotiation very difficult.
Speaking to MilanNews, the well-known journalist Niccolo Ceccarini shared his thoughts on Hernandez’s situation. He stated that it’s rather clear that he will pack his bags and say goodbye to the Rossoneri at the end of the season.
“The situation regarding Hernandez is quite clear. I really think that Theo will leave at the end of the season. At least these are the indications as of today,” he stated.
For now, however, Hernandez is fully focused on winning the Coppa Italia final with Milan. The game is scheduled for 21:00 and since winning it would secure Europa League, it would also secure more revenue for the Rossoneri. Perhaps that could unlock some renewals.
