Casemiro doesn’t like Erik ten Hag and wants to leave Manchester United | OneFootball

French journalist Julien Laurens has made a sensational claim about Casemiro’s situation at Manchester United which won’t go down with Manchester United fans.

Speaking on the Gab and Juls show, Laurens said that the Brazilian doesn’t like Erik ten Hag and wants to leave the club this summer.

Things began so differently for the Brazilian in the summer of 2022 when he joined the club and enjoyed a wonderful first season at Old Trafford.

The multiple Champions League winner played an integral role in United’s third-place finish and Carabao Cup win.

However, this season has been an unmitigated disaster for the veteran.

He has been in the middle of numerous errors which have led to goals, such as his pathetic attempt to get back to join the rest of United’s defenders, which resulted in leaving Arsenal’s Kai Havertz with plenty of space to cross for Leandro Trossard to score.

Moreover, he has been criticised by numerous pundits for his lack of agility and Roy Keane has argued that the player simply isn’t good enough to play at centre back in the Premier League.

His form has already seen him lose his place in the Brazilian national team as he has not been called up to the COPA America squad.

The midfielder has been asked to fill in at centre-back as United have continued to be plagued by centre-back injuries but he has been brutally exposed every time he has played there.

Rio Ferdinand has suggested that Ten Hag has been “unfair” to Casemiro and should have realised earlier that the player does not have the skill set to play there.

Laurens, also claimed that the Brazilian is not too happy about playing at centre-back.

He said, “But Casemiro, this is not his position, he doesn’t want to play there, he doesn’t want to be at Manchester United, he doesn’t like Ten Hag. He still should be professional and play well. He doesn’t.”

It has already been reported that new owners INEOS are happy for Casemiro to be sold in the summer to free up wage space for younger players.

However, it also appears that the Brazilian is satisfied to move on and it was reported yesterday that the player’s agent has already held talks with Saudi teams in preparation for a summer exit.
