A departing member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid will be afforded the chance to bid farewell to the club’s supporters this weekend.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Kepa Arrizabalaga as the player in question.

Shot-stopper Kepa, of course, is in line for a summer exit from Spain’s capital.

After linking up with Real Madrid from Premier League outfit Chelsea owing to the long-term injury suffered by Thibaut Courtois, the 29-year-old has failed to do enough to convince the Blancos brass of the merits of making his signing a permanent one.

Upon the season’s close, he will in turn say goodbye to a club whom he fulfilled a long-time ‘dream’ in lining out for.

As alluded to above, though, prior to as much, Kepa will be handed one last chance to pull on the famed colours of European football’s most successful club.

Having remained the perfect professional across a difficult individual campaign back in his home country, the former Athletic Club talent will be rewarded by Carlo Ancelotti, courtesy of a late cameo this weekend.

As per a report from Diario AS, in Real Madrid’s final home outing of the season, this coming Saturday, Thibaut Courtois will start between the posts against Real Betis.

Late on, though, the intention is to introduce Kepa to the fray:

‘Carletto’s idea is that, because he wants to reward the Basque after a season that has not gone as he expected, but from which he still draws positive feelings.’
