Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that two members of his squad picked up injuries in the club’s latest outing.

The pair in question? David Alaba, and Eduardo Camavinga.

Real Madrid were of course back in action on Wednesday night, making the short trip across Spain’s capital for a La Liga meeting with Getafe.

When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 1-0 result, to keep their slim title hopes in Spain’s top-flight alive.

As alluded to above, though, their eventual victory came at a cost.

Afforded a starting berth in the clash, defender David Alaba was hooked from proceedings at half-time, replaced by Eduardo Camavinga.

Late in the 90, however, the latter also pulled up with a fitness problem, forced into an exit as a result.

Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when the wellbeing of both players was quickly put to manager Carlo Ancelotti.

And Real’s headmaster went on to admit:

“Camavinga and Alaba both have muscle injuries. It’s unlikely that they will recover for (the Copa del Rey final on) Saturday.“
