Capello expresses doubts over Scudetto push: “Which is the real Milan?” | OneFootball

Fabio Capello believes that AC Milan can still have their say in the Scudetto race if they can establish some consistency in the league.

Capello was interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport and he was asked about Milan, who currently sit behind the ‘magnificent six’ who are currently separated by just two points heading into the November break.

Can Milan catch up with those above?

“If they were still the wonderful team seen in Madrid, the answer would undoubtedly be yes. In the Cagliari version, however, it would be difficult for Fonseca to come back. But which is the real Milan?” he said (via MilanNews).

That question is one that Milan fans have been asking themselves since the game against Cagliari. A 3-1 win against the champions of Europe at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League was followed by a 3-3 draw against a team that were just above the relegation zone.

The defensive record for the Rossoneri is the real worry, given they are struggling to keep clean sheets and have conceded 20 goals across 15 games in all competitions. Not only that, but they have let in two or more goals in seven matches, showing that there is an obvious number one issue.
