Brentford secured their first three points of the season following a 4-2 win over Camden & Islington United in the Greater London Premier Division on Sunday.

The Bees put on a strong display from start to finish with summer arrival Chelsie Berry scoring a hat-trick and Holly Hawkes also netting to earn the side an important victory.

The women’s B team have had a difficult start to life in the Premier Division so far following the side’s promotion in the previous campaign.

With just one point in their first four league games the side knew how vital three points against an also struggling Camden would be.

Brentford started the game as they meant to go on, playing free-flowing attacking football.

K-Lah Briscoe ended a fantastic run with a cross into Hawkes who came close to putting her side ahead just 10 minutes into the game.

Six minutes later the Bees did get themselves ahead with Berry scoring her first of the game after receiving the ball from Karen Abou-Abdallah and cutting inside, finding the bottom corner with her shot.

Berry was a constant threat up front for the visitors with the striker making it 2-0 just after the half hour mark.

This time it was Nalia Ali’s cut back pass which found Berry who showed composure in front of goal to extend her side’s lead.

Berry had a chance to seal a first half hat-trick just before the break, but her effort came off the post as the Bees had to settle for a two-goal lead heading into the interval.

Following a disappointing opening half from Camden the home side started well after the break and pulled one back just three minutes into the second half.

Camden went on to level the game scoring from a corner leaving Brentford frustrated on 70 minutes.

The visitors had too much fire power in the final third though as Berry went on to secure her first hat-trick for the club moments later, with a strike from Hawkes sealing the win for Brentford.
