Han-Noah Massengo (23) wants to make his move from Burnley to AJ Auxerre permanent, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Massengo spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Auxerre. However, that campaign ended in relegation for the club. The midfielder, therefore, did not remain and instead joined Burnley on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at Bristol City.
However, he has failed to establish himself with the Clarets. As a result, he returned to Auxerre once again this January, joining once again on a loan deal until the end of the season. There was a purchase option included in the move and, with the club comfortably securing safety in Ligue 1 for next season, he wants to remain with the French club.
Massengo made 17 appearances for Auxerre last season, having joined at the start of January. It is now up to Auxerre to trigger his purchase option.
