Bruno Genesio reveals Edon Zhegrova’s return date | OneFootball

Edon Zhegrova (25) has yet to feature for Lille OSC since the turn of the year. The Kosovan winger has been contending with an adductor issue, which recently required surgery. He has since been recovering and speaking on Thursday, Bruno Genesio provided a date for his long-awaited return to the pitch.

Genesio has said that Zhegrova should be operational after the upcoming international break. His return is therefore expected at the end of March, meaning that he will play a role in Lille’s run-in. Zhegrova is now in the twilight of his LOSC career. As he told Albanian Radio this week, that he will not renew his current deal (which expires in 2026), whilst, according to L’Équipe, Lille will sanction his departure. Napoli have a long-standing interest and are expected to reignite that interest come the summer.

Genesio also provided an update on Tiago Santos, who suffered an ACL injury towards the start of the season. The Portuguese full-back is not expected to feature before the end of the campaign.
