Bruno Fernandes Transfer Saga Reignites: Saudi Interest Persists
The transfer saga of Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes's resurfaced in Saudi Arabia despite his decision to remain at Manchester United this summer.
According to The Sun a meeting was held between Saudi club officials and Fernandes to explore potential deal marking major twist after earlier stalled negotiations with Al Hilal.
Reports suggest the initial contact between Fernandes & the club was positive signaling possible interest.
The 30 year old reportedly requested annual salary of 33 million sterling pound (around 38 million euro) .. a figure that could complicate negotiations but shows his market value & appeal in the Saudi league.
Fernandes previously told Sky Sports that he'd unfinished business at United:
"I haven’t achieved my dreams here yet. I still believe I can contribute and be useful. I’ll stay until the club tells me it’s time to go"
His statement leaves the door open for potential exit if United sees financial benefit.
Despite interest, the move faces obstacles as Man United're reluctant to lose key midfielder in season full of challenges especially after failing to sign Carlos Paliba.
The decision ultimately lies with the Red Devils.
