To mark the 60th anniversary of the filming of The Sound of Music, we are making a statement along with our regional partners SalzburgerLand Tourismus for our international fans. So many visitors from the USA and Asia come to discover Salzburg and its spectacular natural locations due to the classic movie - and this fondness has at times led them to our Red Bulls.
To mark the anniversary of the classic that had its premiere in 1965 in New York City, SalzburgerLand is celebrating the entire year with exhibitions, concerts, city tours and a big gala in October. The locations of the films have long since become places fans have made pilgrimages to see. We are also bringing a bit of our home region along on our big showing in the US to celebrate the special connection with our brand-new Club World Cup special edition kit in an Alpine Edelweiß design. It is only logical that our new kit incorporates the famous filming locations.
Our new jersey for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup combines modern design with regional identification. It represents FC Red Bull Salzburg in a special way at this important tournament and will definitely be an eye-catcher. We don't want only to impress with our kit, however, as we want to cut a good shape on the pitch in the USA too.

More than 300,000 visitors come to SalzburgerLand every year to follow The Sound of Music – many of whom are from the USA, where the movie is regarded as a cult classic. With the Red Bulls going to the Club World Cup in America during the anniversary year, we have the perfect chance to combine top football in Salzburg with the film classic loved in the US.
