A prolonged Gameweek 34 culminates at the Amex Stadium on Thursday night as Brighton play host to title hopefuls Manchester City.

City have some catching up to do after they were in FA Cup action at the weekend. They've now played two games fewer than league leaders Arsenal, whose successive victories has piled the pressure on Pep Guardiola's Cityzens heading into this one.

The Gunners are four points ahead of City, but Guardiola's men will return to the summit should they win their games in hand. Their Champions League exit should aid their domestic cause, with last season's treble winners also having the FA Cup final to consider after squeaking past Chelsea on Saturday.

Thursday's opponents, Brighton, are without a Premier League win since 10 March, with their injury-hit campaign drifting into one of indifference after their European venture was brought to a close by AS Roma. The Seagulls weren't in action at the weekend and should be well-rested for City's visit, but Roberto De Zerbi is still without a long list of players.

Here's 90min's preview of Man City's upcoming Premier League clash.

Brighton's injury list is extensive.

The Seagulls are once again without Solly March, Kaoru Mitoma, Adam Webster, James Milner, Tariq Lamptey and Jack Hinshelwood, while Billy Gilmour, Evan Ferguson and Julio Enciso, who scored a stunner in this fixture last season, are all doubts.

Pervis Estupinan sustained an ankle injury during Brighton's 1-1 draw with Burnley two weekends ago and will be assessed ahead of this one.

Brighton predicted lineup vs Man City

Brighton predicted lineup vs Man City (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Veltman, Dunk, Van Hecke, Igor; Gross, Baleba; Buonanotte, Pedro, Adingra; Welbeck.

Man City could have close to a full cohort of players available for this midweek clash, though manager Guardiola has confirmed striker Erling Haaland will play no part due to injury after picking up a muscle problem against Real Madrid last Wednesday and subsequently missing Saturday's FA Cup semi-final.

John Stones was withdrawn at half-time against Chelsea and Phil Foden missed training on Tuesday but both have been cleared to feature in the squad.

Man City predicted lineup vs Brighton (3-2-4-1): Ederson; Walker, Dias, Gvardiol; Stones, Rodri; Silva, De Bruyne, Foden, Grealish; Alvarez.

Brighton vs Man City score prediction

Brighton may be well-rested for this fixture but they're going to need much more than City fatigue to prevail on Thursday.

The Seagulls' campaign has drifted away, with injuries proving particularly damaging. There hasn't been an improvement on that front since they last turned out at Turf Moor, with Roberto De Zerbi struggling to get a consistent tune out of his players.

The Italian's patters have entered a stage of predictability and City will undoubtedly be prepared for Brighton's build-up sequences. The visitors have had five days to recover from their semi-final and should be good to go on Thursday.

They won't be feeling the pressure and a routine victory should ensue.
