Brentford are stepping up their intent to sign Feyenoord’s Antoni Milambo. A delegation from the Premier League club has travelled to Rotterdam to continue negotiations, reports 1908.nl.
Brentford have already made a bid of 19 million euros, plus three million euros in bonuses. That proposal was rejected by Feyenoord, according to the fan medium. The Bees are not going to let it rest. Both clubs will continue negotiations on Saturday at a secret location. A deal is seen as feasible and realistic. However, Brentford will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets.
Feyenoord also know that Brentford is in dire straits. Mark Flekken was already sold to Bayer Leverkusen for 10 million euros, and Bryan Mbeumo is also on his way to Manchester United. English media reported a bid of 65 million euros, including bonuses. Part of that money must therefore be reinvested in Milambo.
Feyenoord want to strengthen themselves with one more midfielder if Milambo leaves. Luciano Valente is the most important target, yet new boy Sem Steijn, Calvin Stengs, Leo Sauer and the returning Ezequiel Bullaude can all play as number 10.
