Brentford attacker Yoane Wissa is prepared to wait for Newcastle United in his bid to play in the Champions League next season, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Newcastle want Wissa as manager Eddie Howe looks to bolster his attacking, and they have received a boost as the Bees are now prepared to sell him once a replacement is found.
NEOM and Al-Nassr also want the forward. They believe Brentford will sell him for around £40 million.
The Bees have Ipswich Town’s Omari Hutchinson and Bournemouth attacker Dango Ouattara on their radar as they prepare for life without Wissa.
Newcastle are prepared to bid for him again after their previous offers were knocked back.
The Magpies have missed out on Benjamin Sesko, Hugo Ekitike, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, while Alexander Isak is looking to leave.
Howe will be desperate to sign an attacker this summer.
The France-born DR Congo international ended last term with 19 goals and five assists in 35 Premier League games.
He weighed in with 12 goals and four assists in 34 league appearances in 2023-24, and Newcastle could do with such a quality forward in the final third.
Wissa boasts impressive finishing skills. He can play as a number nine and on the left wing, and the chance to impress in the Champions League appeals to him after four seasons in London.
Newcastle have signed Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on loan, while Anthony Elanga and Antonio Cordero have been added to their attack.
However, they need more outfield signings if they want to win major silverware next term and go far in the Champions League, and Wissa would be a great addition to their squad.
