After joining Brentford Under-18s on a six-month professional contract in February 2023, goalkeeper Reggie Rose has risen through the ranks to become a staple of the Brentford B squad.

This season has seen Rose start seven games across the Professional Development League and Premier League Cup, keeping two clean sheets.

In this edition of Brentford Buzz, Rose discusses his relationship with goalkeeper coach Jani Viander, which teammate has the best banter and more.

What would you rather, a last-minute penalty save or a goal from a corner?

Goal from a corner. It’s never going to happen, but it would be sick wouldn’t it?

Who is the best dancer in the squad?

I’m going to have to be honest, Ben Krauhaus or Max Wilcox, maybe.

What is your choice of karaoke song?

Probably Never Too Much by Luther Vandross.

Who is your biggest inspiration in football?

Probably someone like Kasper Schmeichel. Peter Schmeichel, someone like that.

Describe your relationship with Jani Viander?

I think we get on well, he’s a great goalkeeper coach with lots of experience and is someone to learn from.

Who is your best friend at the club?

Ben Krauhaus.

Who has the best banter in the squad?

I’m going to be honest, Ethan Laidlaw comes out with some funny stuff, unfortunately I have to say.
