With Carlos Augusto back in the fold, Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi could have a full squad at his disposal for the first time this season.
The Brazilian suffered a slight muscular problem during the Champions League contest against Young Boys on October 23rd.
But as reported yesterday, the 25-year-old will resume training with his teammates next week.
Therefore, the wingback should be available for the trip to Verona the following weekend. This will be the Nerazzurri’s first contest following the international break.
This will be a significant boost for the Serie A champions. Even though he isn’t a regular starter, Augusto is an important player in Inzaghi’s rotation.
The former Monza man has been covering for both Federico Dimarco in the left wingback role and Alessandro Bastoni in the left centre-back position.
So according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, this could be the first time Inzaghi will have a full squad to choose from.
The Italian champions had been missing the services of Tajon Buchanan. The winger sustained a serious injury in the summer during the Copa America.
Nevertheless, the Canadian has now recovered and returned to the squad, albeit he’s yet to make his first appearance of the season.
And yet, the pink newspaper’s report comes with great caution. After all, clubs often lose one or more players to injury during the international break.
For their part, Inter have 15 players away on international duty.
But if all of them manage to make their way back to Appiano Gentile unscathed, then Inzaghi will be spoilt for choice in Verona.
