Bournemouth are reportedly keeping a close eye on Stade Rennais striker Kyogo Furuhashi, according to Le Parisien.

Furuhashi made a significant impact during his time at Celtic, netting 85 goals in 165 appearances and securing eight major honours, including three Scottish Premiership titles.

His performances earned him a €10 million move to Ligue 1 outfit Rennes in January.

Furuhashi has not had the best of times during his brief spell in France, failing to get on the scoresheet.

He was wanted by Manchester City as a potential replacement for Julian Alvarez last summer, although a move failed to materialise.

However, Furuhashi could now be set for a shot at English football, with Bournemouth considering making a bid for him.

Furuhashi is not the only Rennes player of interest to Bournemouth, as the Cherries also hold an interest in Adrien Truffert.

The 22-year-old has been a consistent performer in Ligue 1, making over 100 appearances for Rennes since breaking into the first team in 2020.

Known for his pace, technical ability, and willingness to push forward, Truffert offers a modern full-back profile that appeals to clubs seeking dynamism on the flanks.

Bournemouth’s interest in Truffert is hardly surprising given Milos Kerkez’s impending departure amid links to Manchester City and Liverpool.

If Bournemouth move forward with their desire to sign Truffert, they will be hoping to fend off competition and secure one of Ligue 1’s brightest defensive talents.

The left-back has one year left on his current contract but could be sold this summer as Rennes look to trim down their squad size before their pre-season training camp starts on June 28.
