Borussia Dortmund appear resigned to losing talented forward Jamie Gittens, described by a report in Germany as now "expecting" a summer transfer.
Gittens is likely to be the next emerging star that Dortmund cash in on, having sold Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham for big money in the last four years alone.
The 20-year-old winger enjoyed an excellent first half of what is proving to be a breakout season. But while his form has tailed off since mid-January, coinciding with Dortmund's slump in fortunes, a number of clubs are still rumoured to be showing interest in the player.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked, but Chelsea have been most associated with a move for Gittens, with Bayern Munich also increasingly tipped to mount a pursuit.
Sky Sport Germany notes that Dortmund are "internally preparing" for Gittens to be playing his football elsewhere next season, although no formal offers have yet come in.

The England Under-21 international is believed to consider the Premier League his "dream" destination, which would work in Chelsea's favour – Gittens also briefly spent time in the club's academy, before getting most of his football education from Reading and Manchester City.
Dortmund are quoted as wanting €100m (£83m), a figure considered "unrealistic". Bayern are therefore tipped to lowball with numbers in the region of €60m-€70m (£50m-£58m), gambling that Dortmund would entertain such a bid if they miss out on Champions League qualification for only the second time in 15 years, with all the lucrative revenue the competition brings. Currently tenth in the Bundesliga, albeit only six points off the top four, that is definitely a possibility.
Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Mats Hummels and Mario Gotze are just some of the high profile players Bayern have poached from other German clubs in the last 15 years, three of which came directly from Dortmund.
