Despite early drama, Bayern Munich continued their trot towards the Bundesliga title with a comfortable victory against top-four rivals RB Leipzig.
Scorers: Musiala 1', Laimer 25', Kimmich 36', Sané 75', Davies 78' ; Šeško 2'
There was early fireworks as the two teams traded goals in the opening two minutes. While Jamal Musiala bagged for Bayern inside 30 seconds, Leipzig responded with a goal of their own through Benjamin Šeško less than 90 seconds later.
But despite that early threat from each side, the match quickly fell into a pattern which saw Bayern dominating the ball and simply having their way with the visitors.
A pair of goals from Konrad Laimer and Joshua Kimmich in the final 20 minutes of the first-half was all the hosts needed, as Leipzig hardly posed another threat after the break.
Despite that however, two goals in three minutes from Leroy Sané and Alphonso Davies saw Bayern truly rub salt in the Leipzig wound.
The victory sees Bayern head into the weekend seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
