Bayern Munich star reveals Barcelona talks | OneFootball

A struggling member of the attacking ranks at German heavyweights Bayern Munich has revealed that, prior to linking up with the Bavarians, he held discussions regarding a potential move to Barcelona.

Wide-man Zaragoza, for his part, secured a move to the Allianz Arena during the January transfer window, when the Bayern brass agreed to fork over an increased sum, to move his planned arrival from Granada forward by six months.

Safe to say, however, that the transfer has since not worked out as planned, for either party.

To date, the 22-year-old has been afforded just seven Bundesliga appearances, for a grand total of less than 180 minutes.

Such woes have culminated in suggestions that Zaragoza could even be on the move this summer, with Barcelona amongst a number of La Liga clubs keeping a close eye on the situation.

Those of a Blaugrana persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be interested to hear that he actually held transfer talks with the Camp Nou board in the not-so-distant past.

Speaking as part of an interview with Jijantes reporter Gerard Romero on Wednesday, Zaragoza admitted:

“Before signing for Bayern I spoke with Barcelona. It was just a possibility and it came to nothing.”
