Kicker reports that Bayern Munich are on the cusp of finding a solution for problematic Spanish winger Bryan Zaragoza. After the 23-year-old personally declined to join Fenerbahçe in a personal phone call with Jose Mourinho last week, the Bundesliga record champions will be sending him back to his native Spain. Where precisely Zaragoza might be headed remains unclear at this point.
Kicker lists three La Liga clubs that may potentially serve as Zaragoza’s next destination. Real Betis and Celta Vigo – both of which Zaragoza had been previously linked – are mentioned. So too is the Spanish outfit at which Zaragoza served on loan. CA Osasuna may wish to recapture the player who scored one goal and registered six assists in 27 La Liga appearances last year.
Bayern spent a combined €17m to acquire Zaragoza from Granada in January 2024. Amid problems adjusting to the language and culture in Germany, then FCB head coach Thomas Tuchel nevertheless had little use for him. Bayern obviously wish to sell rather than loan out their expensive transfer bust. At present, Zaragoza maintains an estimated market value of €12m.
