Kingsley Coman of Bayern Munich might change clubs this summer. Recently, rumors have linked the 28-year-old to FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

While the capital club reportedly has eyes on their former youth product, Bayern Munich also are keen on Xavi Simons, who is linked to Barcelona as well. As a result, could a potential swap deal be in the mix to ensure both sides land the player they want?

In his latest column for CaughtOffside, French football expert Jonathan Johnson spoke about a potential swap deal between Bayern Munich and PSG that could involve Coman and Simons.

“The situation with Kingsley Coman looks pretty intriguing now that Michael Olise is close to joining Bayern Munich, who we also know are looking to move a few players on this summer,” Johnson wrote.

“PSG are a club who could end up doing business with Bayern because of Xavi Simons – it’s difficult because PSG really don’t want to let him go, but it could be that Bayern will come to the table with players on offer.

“If that happens, one name likely to be discussed could be Coman. He’s home-grown, which is important to PSG, so I think there’d be some consideration from them towards Coman, even if the downsides are that he’s quite injury prone and would be on a high salary.”

According to Sky Sport’s Dharmesh Sheth, Barcelona, and an unnamed Premier League club are interested in the 28-year-old. Coman currently earns €15 million gross per year, so it will be interesting to see if he gets similar wages should he leave.

Moreover, Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sports Germany has reported that Bayern Munich is willing to part ways with the 28-year-old, who is under contract until 2027, for a fee of €40 million to €50 million.
