Bayern Munich put in a strong performance in Monday's friendly against RB Salzburg, winning 6-0.
Notably, Jamal Musiala wasn't in the squad, but the attacking midfielder is expected to be fit for Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
"Jamal has a slight cold - nothing serious. So we're very, very positive about Saturday," Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl told Bild.
The Bavarians also had to manage without Manuel Neuer, who has been sidelined for five weeks with a broken rib suffered in Bayern's 1-0 DFB-Pokal defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
On the goalkeeping veteran's continued absence, Eberl said:
“Manu's recovery process is very, very positive. We didn't want to take any risks.”
Instead of taking part in Monday's friendly, Neuer completed a 50-minute training session at the Säbener Straße.
Nevertheless, according to Bild, Bayern's clear plan for Neuer is to have him back in goal against Gladbach on Saturday.
If he is not deemed fit enough to play, Daniel Peretz is ready to fill in again.
