Inter confirm Nicolò Barella has been diagnosed with an adductor injury, and according to Gazzetta, it is ‘highly likely’ that the Italy international will miss the next Serie A match against Como.
Inter star Barella underwent an MRI scan Thursday morning and exams highlighted an adductor injury.
“Nicolò Barella underwent an MRI this morning at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano. Examinations revealed a slight elongation to the right thigh adductor. The situation will be assessed day by day,” Inter said in a statement.
The Nerazzurri star will miss tonight’s Coppa Italia game against Udinese, but according to Gazzetta, he’s also highly likely to be ruled out of the next Serie A match against Como on December 23.

Inter sit third in the Serie A table with 34 points, three fewer than leaders Atalanta, but Simone Inzaghi’s men have a game in hand.
Inzaghi is expected to start Piotr Zielinski, Hakan Calhanoglu and Davide Frattesi in Inter’s central midfield against Udinese this evening.
