Ahead of the Derby della Madonnina, Inter and AC Milan are entering the game in completely different spirits. In an ideal world, at full-time the spirits would be flipped, but it is difficult to imagine for Rossoneri fans.
Despite the 4-0 thrashing of Venezia last weekend, things could not be worse for Milan. There is no semblance of positivity surrounding the club, and it seems that things are near a breaking point for the manager.
As reports suggest, a decision is expected shortly about Fonseca’s future, and one could arrive before the game against Inter with reports suggesting Ibrahimovic holds all the cards, and a dismissal before the Derby is possible.
Nevertheless, the Derby will still happen with or without Fonseca at the helm, and Inter are prepared for a difficult game against their rivals. Following their draw with Manchester City, the Nerazzurri’s midfielder, Nicolo Barella, spoke to the press about the game, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.
Now comes the derby…
“Surely Milan will give us a hard time, as is normal. It’s a derby, it’s an important game for the championship and emotionally, it doesn’t matter how you get there but what you put on the field. We will obviously do our best to win.”
