Rúben Amorim’s decision to leave Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of Manchester United’s squad against Manchester City has raised questions about Rashford’s future at the club.
Ben Jacobs from GIVE ME SPORT reported that Paris Saint-Germain has not made any new moves for Rashford, though their sports advisor, Luis Campos, is aware of the player’s situation.
While PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has had talks with Rashford’s camp in the past, he is unlikely to pursue further discussions without clear interest from the player. This cautious approach comes after Rashford’s five-year contract extension with United in July 2023.
Jacobs also mentions that Rashford is open to a move to LaLiga, with Barcelona seeing him as a potential fit. However, the financial complexities of such a transfer make it almost impossible unless Manchester United agrees to a loan and covers a significant part of his wages.

TEAMtalk reports that Barcelona may offer Ansu Fati in a swap deal to sign Rashford. This report comes after FootballTransfers reported on Saturday that Barcelona have reached out to Manchester United about a potential January loan move for Rashford.
The outlet also reveals that Rashford’s desire to leave has caught the attention of Barcelona, who have long admired him. As a result, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is eager to take advantage of any available market opportunity.
Furthermore, the report goes on to state that Barcelona have made contact with United about a possible half-season loan with an option to buy in the summer.
The Spanish giants offered a fee of £35 million (€42 million), but Manchester United has yet to respond. However, Rashford is aware of the interest and eager to make the switch, per FootballTransfers.
