The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona are primed to open transfer discussions with their counterparts at RCD Mallorca over the days ahead.
That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Pablo Torre as the player set to be at the heart of the meeting.
Midfielder Torre is of course widely expected to seal a departure from Catalunya’s capital before the summer is out.
After struggling for game-time in Hansi Flick’s star-studded Barcelona squad once more this past season, the 22-year-old, at a crucial point in his development, is understandably keen to secure a more prominent role for the 2025/26 campaign.
And as much could well be afforded to Torre by the aforementioned Mallorca.
As revealed by Matteo Moretto, considered highly reliable when it comes to Spanish transfer news:
‘Mallorca and Barcelona will negotiate for Pablo Torre over the weekend in search of an agreement on the final figures of the deal, which is set based on a transfer with a 50% share of the future sale and a buyback option for Barça. Pablo Torre would sign for 4 years with Mallorca.’
It is also noted, though, that an agreement is not yet in place, with a number of other clubs monitoring the situation.
