Barcelona star’s sale could include a €28m return clause | OneFootball

An insight into the kind of fee expected to be included in a buyback clause for departing Barcelona star Ansu Fati has on Wednesday been provided.

Wide-man Ansu is of course set to seal a fresh move away from Catalunya’s capital any day now.

After another season to forget for the 22-year-old with Barcelona, the 22-year-old is closing on an imminent move to France, with AS Monaco.

The move, initially, is expected to come in the form of a loan.

From here, though, Monaco will have the option of making the transfer a permanent one in the summer of 2026.

And yet, even in the case of the purchase clause being triggered, Barcelona could well keep control of Ansu’s long-term future.

As per a report from Sport on Wednesday evening, Monaco will have the option to buy Ansu in 12 months’ time, for around €14 million.

And Barca would secure a buyback clause as part of any such deal, likely to be in the region of €28 million.
