Barcelona star the subject of €50 million Aston Villa pursuit | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has made his way onto the transfer radar of Premier League outfit Aston Villa.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Ferran Torres as the player in question.

Frontman Ferran is of course in the midst of what has been a thoroughly productive 2024/25 campaign.

Despite largely playing 2nd fiddle to first-choice Barcelona centre-forward Robert Lewandowski, the Spanish international has contributed hugely meaningful minutes and goals alike.

All told, across 45 appearances in all competitions, many of them off the bench, Ferran has racked up 19 goals and seven assists.

And such ongoing excellence on the part of the 25-year-old has not gone at all unnoticed across the continent.

Specifically, in England, Aston Villa are said to be expressing a keen interest in bringing Ferran back to the Premier League, where he previously lined out for Manchester City.

Unai Emery’s side, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third, ‘are preparing a tempting offer of €50 million’ to land the Spaniard.

Ferran, for his part, is understood to be keen to stay put in Barcelona, though.
