A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could not hide his anger, after being hauled off in the club’s latest outing.
The player in question? Dani Olmo.
Spanish international Olmo was in from the off once more this evening, as Barcelona welcomed Inter Milan to Catalunya’s capital for the first leg of a Champions League semi-final tie.
The 26-year-old went on to enjoy something of a hit-and-miss outing, linking midfield to attack, but struggling to make any true impact in the final third.
Upon his number flashing across the 4th official’s board, indicating that Olmo’s evening was done, the former RB Leipzig man, in turn, made his frustration known.
Making his way past boss Hansi Flick on the touchline, the midfielder had an evident scowl on his face, barely looking his manager in the eyes, before throwing an angry gesture with his arm as Fermín López was introduced in Olmo’s place.
