A key contributor in Barcelona’s victory over Villarreal on Sunday evening has admitted post-match that he finds himself unable to ‘enjoy’ the result.

The player in question? Raphinha.

Wide-man Raphinha is for his part fresh off another stellar individual showing.

En route to an eventual 5-1 drubbing of Villarreal in La Liga, the Brazilian international notched a brace, to take his tally for the campaign to an impressive tally of five goals.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at El Madrigal tonight, many would in turn have understandably assumed that Raphinha would be in high spirits.

This, however, in fact proved to be far from the case.

Instead, the former Leeds United man finds himself entirely unable to enjoy the moment, owing to the serious knee injury suffered by teammate Marc-André ter Stegen, which could yet see the German ruled out for the rest of the season:

“I can’t enjoy this win because of Ter Stegen’s injury.”
